4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

We want you to love what you receive. Each of these pieces is made with a lot of love and thought. We would love for you to be happy with your purchase. And that is why we request you think before you place your order. This policy explains when and how you can cancel an order or request a refund.
4.1 Order Cancellation by Customer
- Prints and ready-to-ship items: You may cancel your order within 24 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched. Email orders [at] artbyaarohi.com with ‘RETURN of {your order no. here}’ in the subject.
- Original artworks: Cancellable within 24 hours of order placement, before dispatch.
- Commissioned artwork: Once work has begun, a commission cannot be cancelled. The advance paid (typically 50%) is non-refundable, as materials have been procured and time invested.
- There will be strictly no cancellation and/or refund offered for items on sale/discount.
4.2 Cancellation by ArtByAarohi
We reserve the right to cancel an order in cases including, but not limited to:
- Product unavailability
- Errors in pricing or product description
- Suspected fraudulent transactions
- Inability to ship to the provided address
In such cases, you will be notified by email and a full refund will be processed within the timeline below.
4.3 Returns and Refunds
Because original artworks and prints are individually created and packed, we follow this returns approach:
Eligible for return/refund:
- Item arrived damaged in transit (reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs as per Section 3.6 of the Shipping Policy)
- Wrong item shipped
- Significant defect in manufacturing
Not eligible for return/refund:
- Change of mind after delivery
- Slight colour variation between the photograph on the website and the actual artwork (this is inherent to handmade art and digital photography)
- Custom commissions completed as per the agreed brief
- Damage caused after delivery (improper handling, framing, exposure to moisture/sunlight, etc.)
4.4 How to Request a Refund
- Email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, photographs, and reason.
- Our team will review and respond within 2 business days.
- If approved, we will arrange a return pickup (where applicable) or ask you to return the item via a specified courier.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging and unused condition.
4.5 Refund Timeline
Once a refund is approved:
- Refunds will be initiated within 2 business days of approval.
- The refunded amount will be credited to your original payment method within 5–7 business days of initiation.
- Refunds are processed through Razorpay back to the source of payment (card, UPI, net banking, or wallet).
- For international orders, customs duties already paid by you are not refundable; only the product and shipping cost paid to ArtByAarohi will be refunded.
4.6 Replacements
Where a replacement is offered (e.g. damaged in transit), we will dispatch the replacement within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned item or photographic evidence, subject to availability. For original one-of-a-kind artworks where replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued instead.
