Sakshi

Gone too soon…
.
This painting is based on a picture of Sakshi from some months ago – during happier times. A memory that now hopefully brings some peace and almost joy. @binusivan requested I do a portrait of her daughter – Sakshi as a gift for her husband on his birthday. The main reference image I used here I am told is one of Sakshi’s favourite images of herself. Sunshine and happiness.
.
By all accounts, Sakshi was a gentle soul and had a lot to offer. She was very positive and right to the end did not let the trials of her very short life get her down. I leave you with her mother’s words describing Sakshi -“She was funny, bright and cheeky and one of the most positive people I have ever met. She never complained or whined and was always 100% certain that she was going to be alright. She loved acting and was looking forward to joining drama school, and loved loved loved all things make-up. “
