Simran wanted a painting with all her kids together – Noor, Arjan, Hope, and Elsa – Both Elsa and Hope have crossed over the rainbow bridge and are now in doggie heaven. So this portrait is something special. We decided to make this a timestamp moment. Something to look back on and reminisce. There is a glimpse of Noor’s love for unicorns and Arjan’s Naruto. There is of course the pet peeve and greatest love of the doggies 🙂 I asked the children to write a small note to each other which I then added to the painting.

This was a joy to paint. Simran is not only a dear friend but one of the best clients to have – non-interfering and always open to suggestions. Simran commissioned me to paint a gift of a family portrait for her sister in 2022 – you can see detailed pictures of that painting here –
