I enjoyed working on this one. Took me about two hours, give or take. I could have kept refining it, getting it closer to her trademark benign smile, but… I did not want to necessarily ‘finish’ this portrait. It was about sketching in the moment and learning. To trust the marks I make. Maybe someday I will paint a portrait of her. For now – this is great 🙂
