This is a portrait of my friend (@ashjaisim) Ashwini Jaisim’s father.
I have never had the opportunity to meet uncle but of course, I had heard of him. Uncle is an architect and his reputation proceeds him (@jaisimkrishnarao)(@jaisim_fountainhead). In fact, my sis-in-law mentioned him when she last visited us in Bangalore. And for those of you who don’t know – my husband has studied architecture too from the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi. As have his elder sister and late father. So architecture and the joy of spaces is something that gives all of us immense pleasure.
Though my husband no longer practices architecture but that is another story as is the one of him having done one year of Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi before shifting to architecture!

Over the years I have saved pictures of friends and their families on Facebook or Instagram as a possible reference. A few weeks ago I decided to dive into that folder and start. I put out a post on FB letting everyone know what I planned to do. This was the first one I started with. I now realize I had saved one picture of him as early as 2016 and then a couple more over the years.

Ashwini and I made friends while we sat outside kindergarten as our secondborns started school. And although we have not spent too much time together. I like what I know of her 🙂
