CARE – Dog Paintings

If you are a regular reader then you know that I love dogs. I don’t have any pets because I don’t think it is fair to keep them unless you have enough space for them to run and exercise. And I live in an apartment complex with fairly strict rules. Mind you – I have always had dogs at home while growing up but then we also had houses with big yards where they could run and play.

But I digress. I love to paint them as well. And I try and give back as best as I can with my craft. The Poonchh Collection is one such endeavour, an effort to help out and not give a handout.
50% of all profits in perpetuity from the sale of the merchandise from the collection will go to support stray and abandoned dogs. And all proceeds from the sale of the portraits (barring one rupee) are pledged in perpetuity to animal welfare.

Towards that end, I finally finished the many doggie portraits I had up on my studio wall. And starting the New Year on the right note, I gave a set of 20 dog portraits as a gift to CARE for their fundraising endeavour for the construction of their new trauma Care Center.

Please contact them to see the entire selection and hopefully buy from them!

And I am happy to say Sudha – the force behind CARE promptly went into her office and came out with an envelope. It had a thank you card and 20 rupees. One of the best money I ever earned 🙂

I leave you with a few images from the set.
